Indoor air pollution affects buildings as well as the health, comfort, performance, and behavior of occupants.  However, unfortunately, very less attention has been paid on this issue in our country .

Therefore, it has become the need of the hour to address indoor environmental issues and identify sustainable solutions to improve indoor environments. The core group of SIE formed this organization to address indoor environmental issues, as people spend more than 90% of their daily time indoors. As per the latest Global Burden of Disease report, indoor air pollution has been ranked as the second-largest killer in India.
